Mrs. Jacob May Called to Rest

Death on Sunday morning claimed another life long resident of Remington, when the final chapter in long life of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Ravenscroft) May, widow of Jacob May, who was one of he early settlers in Carpenter Township died.

Mrs. May was born near New Creek Station., W. Virginia, August 28, 1848 and died at the advanced age of almost 90 years. She came to this community with her parents when a child and has lived here ever since.

On December 3, 1868 she was married to Jacob May and five children were born to this union. Of the five four have passed on, leaving Bertram May the sole survivor of the family. There is also one grandson, Delbert R. May. Her husband passed over in 1919.

The deceased has been in failing health for a couple of years, but a stroke a year ago left her practically helpless, since which time her decline has been slow but sure and from an entriely helpless condition many weeks she passed to her lst rest on Sunday morning.

The funeral services were held at the residence of Mrs. Ida May with whom she had made her home since the death of her husband, on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock.
