Helen was a 1937 graduate of Augusta High School; she had resided in Louisville for the past 13 years prior to which she had resided in Paris, Ohio for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Louisville Church of Christ where she had been active retirees group. In addition to her, she is preceded in death by her husband, Odest R. Pitts in 1998. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Susan Pitts of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Sammy and Carol Pitts of Louisville; two grandchildren, Duane and Christine Pitts, Kevin Pitts and his fiancee, Shawna Knoch; twostep-grandchildren, Mark Farrar and Lisa Foster; eight great-grandchildren, Chandler, Kayla, Joshua, Preston, Alyssa, Miranda, Natalie and Evan; one step-great-grandson, Jason; one sister, Evelyn Baker of Augusta; one brother and sister-in-law,Ward and Eleanor Sheckler of Minerva.
