Note: OBITUARY - EVELYN J. CAMERON, 93 OBITUARY - EVELYN J. CAMERON, 93 Evelyn J. Cameron, 93, of Minerva, died Nov. 30, 2006, in Great Trail Care Center in Minerva following an extended illness. Born Sept. 15, 1913, in Augusta, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Alma (Manfull) Figley. She was a housewife, worked at Grinders and the Southern Inn and was a 50 year member of the OES Esther Chapter #120 formerly Augusta Chapter #120. She graduated from Augusta High School and was a member of Stillfork Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Phillips of Salem; two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest M. Cameron who died Sept. 26, 1971. Funeral services were held Dec. 4 in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. James Rice officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the OES Esther Chapter #120. |

Citation details: SALEM MORNING JOURNAL - Saturday, December 9, 2006 Text: BARBARA PHILLIPS Ms. Phillips was born March 26, 1939 in Augusta, Ohio, the daughter of the late Forrest and Ruth Cameron and had lived most of her life in the Lisbon area. She had owned and operated Crosser's Diner in Lisbon for 18 years, retiring in 1999. Mrs. Phillips was also a member of Lisbon Trinity Friends Church. Barbara also enjoyed home remodeling and was currently remodeling her home in Salem. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Karen (Mike) Rudibaugh of Lisbon; her son, Mark Phillips of Mason, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Jason Phillips and Tessa Phillips, both of Fishers, Ind., Lindsey Rudibaugh of Salem, NathanRudibaugh of Honolulu, and Aaron, Wyatt, Cameron and Leanna Rudibaugh, all of Lisbon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Evelyn Cameron, and a daughter, Denise Phillips. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Headland officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. |
