Obituary Augusta Store Operator Dies MINERVA - Charles W. Leatherberry, 56, of nearby Augusta, operator of a general store and barbershop there many years and active in church and fraternal organizations, died unexpectedly in Augusta Tuesday night. Mr. Leatherberry suffered a heart attack while attending a meeting of Augusta Lodge, F & AM of which he served as chaplain and past master. He had been ill with a heart condition one year. A life resident of this area, he operated a general store in Augusta 31 years and the barbershop 40 years. Mr. Leatherberry was a member of Augusta Christian Church where he served as an elder; patron of Order of Eastern Star and was a member of Eagles Lodge of Minerva. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Rhoda Leatherberry; two daughters, Miss Elaine Leatherberry of the home and Mrs. Evelyn Locke of Augusta; twin brothers, Embert and Everett Leatherberry, both of Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Miller, Mrs. Myrna Baughman and Mrs. Marie Brown, all of Augusta, and three grandchildren. Services in the church will be Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after ____ Thursday and Friday ________.
