James Harvey Shane Mills

James Harvey Shane Mills of Augusta township died April 9. Funeral services were held Tuesday by Rev. Hanna, assisted by Rev. Sims. Burial was made at Augusta.

The deceased was born Jany. 14, 1849, in Augusta-tp. and married in Columbiana-co. to Elizabeth Thompson, May 10, 1872. Surviving are the wife and four children -- Perry Mills, Florence Figley and Alexander Mills, all of Augusta-tp, and CharlesMills of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Ithamer Mills of Augusta-tp and four grandchildren.

Deceased at the age of 16 united with Stillfork Presbyterian church and was a faithful and consistent member to the day of his death, having been an elder for 47 years and a regular attendant at church and Sunday school and a teacher for a numberof years. He was also a charter member of Stillfork grange.

Friends from Alliance, Wellsville, Lisbon, Washington, D.C., Millport and Kensington attended the funeral.
