(McIntire) Donaldson was born near Harlem Springs, June 23, 1854, and died Thursday morning, December 22, 1910. She was a daughter of Samuel and Barbara McIntire, of Harlem Springs, who have both preceded her to the other shore. She was a child of faith and prayer and in early life united with the Presbyterian Church of Harlem Springs under the pastorate of the Rev. S. L. Dickey. After marriage she transferred her membership to the Carrollton M. E. Church. At the time of her death she was a member of the M. E. Church of Creston, where she resided for a time. A few months before her death she removed to the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. D. N. George, of Scroggsfield, where she fell asleep in the blessed hope of her Savior on the above date. In all three places she was known and esteemed as an amicable, sincere and faithful Christian. |
