Deceased was born in Stubenville, removed to Carroll county at the age of 8 years, and in the year 1832 he moved to the farm on which he died. He was married in March of that year to Elizabeth Harsh of this county who died in 1876. He has been an outspoken Democrat, having voted for Jackson and every Domocratic candidate since his time, including Gen. Hancock. The remains were interred in the Augusta Cemetery on the 7th inst. |
