He was taken sick in his office and was removed to his boarding house, and his family that lived nine miles distant was sent for, but he died before their arrival. A post mortem examination showed that his disease was inflamation of the bowels. He was 53 years old, and was one of the most esteemed and excellent men of Carroll Co.
