Citation details: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Soule-82 Text: Death Patience Haskell, wife of John Haskell, and daughter of George Soule the immigrant and his wife Mary Buckett, died 11 Mar 1705/6. This date is in the Vital Records of Middleborough, Massachusetts, published in "The Mayflower Descendant" Vol 2 pg 160. Her surname is spelled Hascol. An article on John Haskell includes also the following: "died "after full 40 years of married life."" Birth Arriving at an estimated birth year, is not an exact science. At some times in the past Patience, the daughter of George Soule and Mary Bucket, has been placed earlier in the birth order of George's children, hence 1630 in Plymouth. An article on John Haskell her husband in the American Genealogist also says born 1639-1640[3], but if you take the statement that she died in 1706 after 40 years of marriage, makes her married about 1666. If she were married at 20, she would have been born in 1646. The newer Mayflower Society publications have Patience listed as the next to last child, and born about 1648. Marriage John Haskall married Patience Sole sometime in Jan 1666 in Middleborough, Massachusetts. Patience's father, George Soule, deeded to her and John Haskell land in Namassakett alias Middleberry. He confirmed this in his will, and further confirmed it by threatening to disinherit her brother John Soule and his heirs should they further "disturb" her "peacable Posession or Injoyment of the lands." Patiance Hascall, the wife of John, on 5 Aug 1701, bought "at an out cry" {an auction?} the old Middleberry meeting house building, which was to be removed before the winter. Children All born in Middleborough, Massachusetts. Child: John Haskall born 11 Jan 1670. |

Citation details: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Soule-46 Text: Mary Soule, daughter of immigrants George Soule and his wife Mary Buckett, was probably born in Duxbury, part of Plymouth Colony, where her parents lived, in about 1644. George placed Mary with the family of John Winslow for 7 years on Jan 1652. She married John Peterson (c1636-c1719) about 1664, probably at Duxbury. Her husband left a will dated 29 April 1718, naming her as his wife, so we know she died after that date. Children John Peterson b. c. 1665, d. unm. before 29 March 1690 (an inventory of his estate) |

Citation details: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Soule-24 Text: A NOTE OF CAUTION It is not by any means certain when or where Elizabeth Soule died. Arguments and counter arguments are being made. Sometime after July 1668 is certain, other than that her death is still being debated. Elizabeth Soule, daughter of immigrant George Soule and his wife Mary, was born about 1646, probably in Duxbury. There is no record of her birth. Specific dates without sources need to be proved. Some of these alternate dates are 1624-1628, 25 Apr 1642. On 3 March 1662/3 Elizabeth Soule and Nathaniel Church were fined for fornication. She subsequently sued him for not marrying her and won a partial settlement in Oct 1663. Again she was charged with fornication on July 2, 1667, but no partner was named in the court records. 23 July 1668, George Soule gave Francis Walker, husband of his daughter Elizabeth, land in Marlboro. This date and the previous in 1667 give us a one year window in which Elizabeth was married. It has been believed that Francis Walker, went to New Jersey, so sometimes New Jersey places are given as the death place of Elizabeth. However Robert C. Anderson in the Mayflower Quarterly 50:31-40 presents arguments that he instead stayed in Middleboro.; and this profile had January 2, 1716 also in Woodbridge. This date Jan 2, I would assume was the death of the wife of the other Francis Walker, who lived in New Jersey. Children Child of Elizabeth and Nathaniel Church born about 1662/3, probably in Plymouth and probably died young. |
