Citation details: ALLIANCE REVIEW, Alliance, OH Text: MRS. ANNIE ELIZABETH CUNNINGHAM A long illness preceded the death of Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Cunningham, 84, of 434 W. State Street St., at 9:15 this morning at the Bel-Air Nursing Home. Born in Griswold County, Kansas, she lived in this area most of her life, coming to Alliance from Augusta in 1901. She lived in Deerfield from 1927-43. She was a member of the Union Avenue Methodist Church. Her husband, Leonard W., died in January of 1943. Surviving are four sons, Perry W. of Lima, Richard A., of Salem and Woodrow W. and Earl R., both of Alliance; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Hartzell of Beloit R. D. 1 and Mrs. D. A. Barnes of Alliance; two half-brothers, Charles Checkler of St. Louis,MO and Fred Sheckler of Alliance; six grandchildren and and seven great-grandchildren. The Rev. Harold Ewing will conduct services at 1:30 p. m. Friday at the Cassaday and Turkle Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7-8 p,m. Thursday. Burial will be at Alliance City Cemetery. Citation details: ALLIANCE REVIEW, Alliance, OH Text: WILMA B. HARTZELL Wilma B. Hartzell, 94, of Alliance and formerly of Beloit, died Monday evening at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born June 19, 1900, in Alliance, to the late Leonard and Annie (Sheckler) Cunningham. She was the former owner of Hartzell Dry Cleaning in Alliance and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Beloit. Mrs. Hartzell is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ann Burton of Salem; one son, George Miller of Beloit; three brothers, Earl, Perry and Woodrow Cunningham, all of Alliance; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Olin Miller, who died in 1924, and by her second husband, Doane "Red" Hartzell, who died in 1984. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Myers Israel Funeral Home in Alliance with the Rev. James White officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Contributions may be made toFellowship Baptist Church or to the Beloit Volunteer Fire Department.
