Mr Iden, who spent his lifetime in the Minerva area, was born near Augusta Feb 4, 1885, the son of John [Edwin W] and [Laura] Matilda Rodebaugh Iden. He was a retired railroad inspector with the former New York Central Railroad. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Minerva and the Loyal Men's Bible Class. Survivors include his wife, Neata Roudebush Iden, of the home; two sons, Loyal of East Rochester, and Russell of Alliance; a daughter Mrs Myrna Toalston of California; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home Tuesday 1:30 pm with Mr Arthur Guy of the Minerva First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
