Mrs M.A. Manfull, a resident of Augusta, Carroll county, died on Monday last, aged 63 years. Mrs Manfull was the mother of our worthy fellow citizen, C.C. Manfull. She was born in England, and 1815 or '18 her father was induced to come to thiscountry and superintend the stone structure of the National Capitol at Washington while residing there, and she quite a girl. She remembered Henry Clay and Daniel Wedster, as having boarded with her father's family. She came to Carroll county in1820, and the family settled in Augusta, where she resided ever since, making about the oldest resident at her death, of that place. "Alliance Telegraph"

THE SERVICES FOR MRS. CULP

Held at the Home on East Market Street -- Burial Made Thursday in the Cemetery at Augusta.

A large concourse of people visited the home of the late Mrs. Frances Culp, Wednesday evening, between the hours of 4 and 7 o'clock, to view the remains of her whom they had so highly esteemed. The handsome casket set in a bed of greenery was surrounded with many beautiful floral designs, expressive of love and sympathy.

At 7:30 o'clock, funeral services were conducted, in charge of Rev. C. B. Reynolds, who gave the sermon. He was assisted by Rev. A. B. Moore, who spoke feelingly of the life and character of the deceased. A quartet composed of Mrs. Delos Patterson, Mrs. Ralph Dunham, Harry J. Roach and Frank C. Baughman sang "Now the Day is O'er," and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul."

On Thursday morning the funeral party accompanied the remains to Augusta, going in a private car over the L. E. A. & W. R. R. Rev. Reynolds and Rev. Moore went also, and spoke at the funeral service in the church there. Cabs sent on from here met the funeral cortege at the depot at Augusta and took them to the church. Interment was made in the Augusta burial ground. Members of the family acted as bearers.

Among those from out of the city called here for the funeral were: Mrs. H. P. McIntosh, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beatty, Henry McIntosh, Manfull McIntosh, T. B. Fletcher, of Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. Will Crumrine and Mr. and Mrs. James Bohecker, of Salem; Mrs. Mayde Manfull, of Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Jones, of Akron.
