EMERSON M. WALLACE Emerson M. Wallace, 92, of Canton Rd., Carrollton, died Tuesday morning Oct. 28, 2008, in the Crandall Medical Center at Sebring following an extended illness. Born September 17, 1916, in Augusta, OH, he was a son of the late Ellsworth and LulaFaye Moore Wallace. Emerson retired in 1981 as a payroll clerk for the Timken Company in Canton following 40 years of service. He was a member of the Herrington Bethel Church where he had served many years as the church treasurer. He was also a member of theCarrollton Camp of the Gideon Society. Emerson is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard (Diane) Wallace of Alliance; Thomas (Darlene) Wallace of Lakeville, OH; one daughter Judy Wallace of Gloucester, MA; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, DorothyWilley of Carrollton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Dorothy McClester Wallace whom he married on Dec. 26, 1942 and who died July 21, 1994; two brothers and one sister are also deceased. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Herrington Bethel Church near Augusta with Rev. Neil Orchard and Rev. Lee Iden as officiants. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be in the church Friday from noon until service time. Emerson’s services are under the care and guidance of the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton.
