Ida Mae Pennock Ida Mae Pennock, 92, of Minerva, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 in the Great Trail Care Center. Born in East Canton, March 14, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary E. (Mark) LeBeau. She was a member of the First Church of GodinMinerva for over 50 years and the Daughters of America. She is survived by son Harold (Joan) Pennock of Minerva; daughters Shirley (Jack) Sailing of Minerva, Barbara Blymiller of Minerva, Deborah (Robert) Roberts of Minerva, Geraldine (Vernon) Wireman of Minerva; son Gerald L. (Kelley) Pennock ofEastRochester; 17 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 31 step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and ten step great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett H. Pennock on December 8, 1973, whom she married on March 16, 1932. She is also preceded by daughters Maralyn Pennock and Carolyn Plott; brothers Daniel, Charles Ralph and John LeBeau; andsistersThelma Schneider, Leona Marteney, Helen and Ernestine LeBeau. Funeral services will be held at the Great Trail Community Church of God, 620 E. Line Street, Minerva, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2005 with Rev. David Guess officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. WILLIAM PENNOCK William Pennock, 56, of Minerva died January 13, 2009, in Aultman Hospital from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. Born Jan. 11, 1953, in Minerva, he was a son of Harold and Joan (Jarvis) Pennock of Minerva. He was a self-employed truck driver for 35 years with Pennock Trucking. He was a member of the Minerva Eagles #2199 and a social member of the Minerva VFW Post #4120. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving companion, Joyce Taylor; children, Cindi Pennock of Malvern, Michelle Holderbaum of Minerva and Michael Rauvola of Minerva; two stepchildren, Robyn Crowl of Hanoverton and Greg Taylor ofSt.Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Patti (Don) Gotschall and Amy Jo Pennock of Minerva; seven grandchildren; and a nephew. Funeral services were held Jan. 17 in Minerva United Methodist Church with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. MINERVA MAN FATALLY INJURED ON SNOWMOBILE Kimberly Lewis January 15, 2009 By KIMBERLY LEWIS Review Minerva Bureau A Minerva man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident near New Franklin. According to the Stark County Coroner's Office, William T. Pennock, 56, of Minerva, was knocked off the snowmobile after the snowmobile struck a wire fence. Homeworth Fire Chief Brian Baker reported the accident occurred at 7:20 p.m., approximately a quarter of a mile off state Route 172 in Paris Township, approximately 100 feet from the Columbiana County line. Baker said 12 firefighters assisted in moving the accident victim to a Bartley ambulance, which transported him to the hospital. A representative of the coroner's office said Pennock was pronounced dead in Aultman Hospital's emergency room at 8:22 p.m. The cause of death is pending, awaiting toxicology results. The representative said Pennock was wearing a helmet. Pennock was a self-employed truck driver for 35 years with Pennock Trucking. He was a member of the Tri-County Eagles Aerie 2199 (Minerva) and a social member of the Minerva VFW Post 4120. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Joan Pennock of Minerva; his companion, Joyce Taylor; three children; two stepchildren; and seven grandchildren. Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva is in charge of the arrangements.
