NEW ALEXANDER, Nov 19. -- John L. Knight, 83, a farmer, was found dead about noon Friday at his home near here. Columbiana County Coroner Ernest R. Sturgis of Columbiana was notified. Neighbors said they believed Knight, who lived alone, had died Wednesday night. Knight left an undated note saying he did not believe that he would "live out the night". It is believed that he suffered a heart attack. Born near New Chambersburg, Mr Knight spent his entire life in this vicinity. His wife, Mrs Dora Elizabeth Knight who attended Mount Union College years ago, died in 1948. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs Eleanor Steinbach of Court Orchard, Wash; four brothers, Andrew of Augusta, Marion of Minerva, Walter of Columbus and Byron of Pittsburg; a sister, Mrs Joe Gaudio of Columbus and three grandchildren. THe body is at the Dillon Funeral Home in Minerva pending arrangements.
