Note from Bette I. Brown, niece of Lorena Kinsey, to her son in Beaumont, TX:
The graveside service for my aunt, Lorena May Reeder Kinsey, went VERY WELL yesterday. I was proud of the Kinsey family. There was a representative from each of SEVEN families of the 10 children of Thomas and Emma Kinsey. Missing were, ofcourse, Eb and Emma from Cleveland. If there had been a funeral indoors, I know the girls from Cleveland would have attended. However, Emma, like Lou, would not have been able to get to the graveside. Lou did attend, but had to stay in thecar which was not near the site—but she WAS there. I was amazed at the turnout considering the weather and the fact that Lorena was 94 and had been housebound for a very long time. I will say - we Kinsey’s may be a bit “unusual in spots,” butwe are a fine group. Tom and Emma would be very proud of their grandchildren. |
