Edgar J. Noble obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, August 3, 1961. Edgar J. Noble, 80, of 236 Lincoln Ave., Carrollton, died Sunday in his home. He had been in failing health for the past six years. A retired farmer, Mr. Noble was born July 26, 1881, in Lee Twp., a son of the late William and Savilla (Cogsil) Noble and had lived in Carroll County his entire life. He was a member of Harlem Springs Presbyterian Church and Washington Hall Grange. Mr. Noble was married November 22, 1927, to May Andrews, who survives with a sister, Mrs. Maud Manfull of Carrollton. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Services were Wednesday in the Allmon Funeral Home here with Rev. David L. Thomas officiating. Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
