OBITUARY MARY ATKINSON HYATT CARROLL CHRONICLE 18 JAN 1924 MRS. MARY ATKINSON HYATT died at the home of her son, Harry Hyatt, at Cleveland, Thursday last from infirmities of old age. The body was brought to Carrollton Mausoleum. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Shaffer on Saturday. The deceased was born in Carrollton 89 years ago, being a daughter of Isaac and Sarah Anne Atkinson. She was married to Thomas Hyatt, a captain in the civil war, who was killed in battle and was buried on the battlefield. Two sons were born to them, Harry Hyatt of the Otis Steel Co., Cleveland, and Edward Hyatt, who died a year or so ago in Sacramento, Calif., where he had served as state superintendent of schools for many years.
