Citation details: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=45140129 Text: Clara was the daughter of John & Anna (Haskins) Korns. John and Anna were both born in Virgina. Clara married John Sherman Kope ca. 1867 and she was the mother of seven children, sons: William A., Nathaniel T., Silas, James, and Francis Alva (Frank); and daughters: Lucy Ann Kope and Anna (Kope) Bell. NOTE: There appears to be a wrong date on Clara's grave marker [1849] because both her obituary and Ohio Death certificate state her birth year as 1848. Note: The information about a child of John and Clara on Clara's Find A Grave page is incorrect. She is the mother of seven children, sons: William A., Nathaniel T., Silas and Francis Alva (Frank); and daughters, Iva C. Kope, Lucy Ann Kope, and Anna Kope Bell. The information about a child of John and Clara on Clara's Find A Grave page is incorrect. She is the mother of seven children, sons: William A., Nathaniel T., Silas and Francis Alva (Frank); and daughters, Iva C. Kope, Lucy Ann Kope, and Anna Kope Bell. Iva's birth records have her name transcribed as Jim. This could be the reason for the confusion. |
