Clarence M. Rogers - 1924-2003 Clarence Milburn “Mel” Rogers, 78, of Woodland, Calif., died June 15 in Woodland. He was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Greybull. He moved to Cheyenne to work for Burlington Trailways Bus Lines in 1945. Mr. Rogers entered the Navy in 1946 and served for four years during World War II and then served in the Naval Reserve for 21 years. He also worked as a civil servant for 30 years at F.E. Warren AFB, starting as a shuttle bus driver and last working as a maintenance supervisor. In 1948, he met and married Kathleen Stewart. Mr. Rogers was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral where he did volunteer work, VFW and American Legion. He moved to Woodland more than two years ago to live with his niece and her husband in their care home for seniors, Rainbow House. Mr. Rogers is survived by a son, William Rogers; a brother, John Rogers of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Wanda Milligan of Modesto, Calif.; two grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his many close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Rogers; his father, Thomas A. Rogers; his mother, Hazel Rogers; his stepmother, Mary Rogers; and a sister, Evelyn Rogers. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Delbert Hansen officiating. Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ponce Hernandez, Mark Byrd, Mike Montgomery, Church Standage, Allan Rogers and William Rogers. Honorary pallbearer will be Barry Rogers. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard. Friends may contribute to the Lung Association of Wyoming or the Diabetes Association of Wyoming.

Wanda L. Milligan 1929-2009 Wanda L. Milligan, 80, passed away Aug. 16 in Davis. Wanda Lea Milligan was born in Greybull on July 4, 1929, to Hazel and Thomas Rogers. She married Thomas Leo Milligan in Cheyenne on Aug. 11, 1946. He died in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Milligan; parents, Hazel and Thomas Rogers; stepmother, Mary Rogers; one brother, Clarence Mel Rogers; four grandchildren, Brian Sumner, Lisa Pohl, Brianna and John Emerson; one great-grandsonEian Sumner; and a son-in-law, Timothy East. Mrs. Milligan is survived by one brother, John Rogers of Reno, Nev.; six daughters, Maggie Johnson of Santa Fe, N.M., Sandra Tharp and Mary Tharp of Cheyenne, Susan Milligan of Modesto, Calif., Patricia East of Winter, Calif., and Karen Ali ofSan Mateo, Calif.; four sons, Thomas Milligan of Murphy, Calif., Michael Milligan of Cheyenne, James Milligan of Grand Junction, Colo., and Robert Milligan of Santa Fe; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; andnumerous nieces and nephews. Vigil for the Deceased will be 7 p.m. today at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father May Moss as celebrant.
