EARL R. CUNNINGHAM - SEBRING Services for Earl R. Cunningham will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hannum officiating. Mr. Cunningham, 83, a resident of Copeland Oaks, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday at Crandall Medical Center. He was born in Alliance Aug. 28, 1915, a son of Leonard and Annie (Sheckler) Cunningham. He lived in Alliance and Deerfield before moving to Sebring in 1995. He graduated from Deerfield High School. He worked at Transue & Williams Inc., retiring in 1976 as a supervisor in the heat treatment department. He was also an associate withHume for Homes for 12 years. He was a member of Beechwood Christian Church, where he had served as trustee, Alliance Men's Garden Club, former Cub Scout master of Washington Troop 170, a member of the Marlington Board of Education for 16 years, Washington Ruritans Club wherehe was president in 1966, and former chairman of Alliance Area Trust Fund. Survivors include his wife, Verda L., whom he married Sept. 8, 1935; sons J. Dawson of Akron and Douglas of Alliance and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Wilma Hartzell and Virgiline Barnes Lauffer and brothers Perry, Richard and Woodrow. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Beechwood Christian Church or the charity of the donor's choice. (10-9-98)

She was born Dec. 8, 1914 in Beloit, the daughter of Russell E. Malmsberry and Edith (Gunder) Malmsberry and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Cunningham graduated from the former Goshen High School in Beloit. She was a member of Beechwood Christian Church. Survivors include sons, J. Dawson (Pat) Cunningham of Bath and Dr. Douglas (Cindy) Cunningham of Alliance; a brother, Rolland Malmsberry of Beloit; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Earl Cunningham. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Andrew Higle Minister of Beechwood Christian Church officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
